Visitors to my shop often ask about going collecting themselves. I always refer them to these sites:

UK fossil collecting sites: Discoveringfossils

A fantastic site with details about many popular UK locations you can collect fossils from. It shows the suitability for children and the age and types of fossils you may find. They also organise collecting trips were you can go along with experts.

Fossil collecting equipment: UKGE

Sell a full range of fossil supplies from hammers to tumble polishers and air abraiders. Also sign up for the fossil magazine 'Deposits'.

Dinosaur families: Dinodata

Excellent online resource covering all known Dinosaurs, fossil sites, ages and formations. Fantastic crosslinks between families and places to find them.

I HOPE YOU FIND THEM OF SOME USE BUT PLEASE COME BACK TO BUY AFFORDABLE FOSSILS FROM 'I DIG DINOS'........

If you are like me, you are always looking for fossils to expand your collection. Maybe you are looking to help a new collector get started or even encourage starting a new hobby. Most fossil web sites have concentrated on display centre pieces or the expensive one-offs. where do you go if you just want to buy some fossils and not break the bank?

The answer is here.

The main purpose of my site is to sell the more common fossils at very affordable prices. I will occasionally have the rare or exotic fossil but most items can be bought for less than £5. Most other sites start at £5 and keep going.... I have a huge range of fossils for sale. I sell many different types of fossil from around the world but have started to go mainstream and encourage more people to own a fossil with the addition of necklaces, brooches and gift ideas. Now and then I may try new ideas and if you are after something specific then feel free to ask. You never know it might turn into the next fossil fad....

The stock I sell covers the whole range and include, but is not limited to: Dinosaur teeth and bones including Tyrannosaurus Rex, African T-rex, Spinosaurus, Saltasaurus, Oviraptor, Deltadromeus, Sauropods, Raptors and Triceratops. Shark teeth from Megalodon, Great white, Mako, Otodus, Carcharius and more. Trilobites: Phacops, Ogyginus, Reedops and Elrathia. Ammonites: Nautilus, Goniatite, Hildoceras, cut pairs etc. Amber: Baltic, Dominican, Madagascan and Colombian copal. Plants like Glossopteris, Cordaites, Pecopteris and Alethopteris.

All ages are covered from Pleistocene, through Eocene to Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic and on to the Cambrian and Permian. I also have a good range of minerals including the favourties like Amethyst, Agate and fools gold. Also for sale are many items required for collections, display boxes, stands, gripper bags and more.

The retail shop now has a vast range of Dinosaur toys, games and activities all with a Dinosaur theme. Puzzles, dig out kits and hundreds of models from small to large. Plenty of the famous species like Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus Rex plus less common toys from Spinosaurus and Ankylosaurs.

If you want something specific, please ask.....
